Released in 2013 The Fire was the debut solo worship album from Samuel Lane and the first full CD to be released under Vineyard Records UK’s new general manager Jimmy Cooke. Recorded with Emmy Award winning Producer Bobby Hartry at Cat Beach Studio in LA, pulling together some of the best musicians you can find (Aaron Sterling, Jonathan Ahrens, Kristopher Pooley, Andy Toy) including Jessie & Darren Clarke (Samuel’s sister and brother in law, and writers of ‘I Love Your Presence’, ‘Your Love Reaches Me’ and ‘Your Love Endures’).
‘The Fire’ is the product of years of hard work. Coming from years of experience in the Vineyard Church. His songs are full of passion, intimacy and honesty. The album communicates a real heartfelt journey of faith in the presence of God. And not only does it bring new songs to the church, but it calls out to the listener to engage with God; to ‘meet their maker’. There is nothing more amazing, more life changing than being drawn into the presence of God. And ‘The Fire’ does just this.
