Five years on from the critically acclaimed debut album The Fire, Lane and Vineyard Worship UK & Eire release the follow up, The Difference. The story is one of looking to Jesus. When we fall short, he offers his hand. When we are weak, he is our strength. When we fail, he is the difference. Each song has been crafted with the same intensity and rawness that we've come to expect from a Samuel Lane record. It's a pure collision of passion, hope and honesty.

“POWERFUL, AMBIENT, INTENSELY BEAUTIFUL. IT’S THE BEST ALBUM I’VE HEARD IN YEARS.” CHRISTIANITY MAGAZINE

Released in 2013, The Fire was the debut solo worship album from Samuel Lane and the first full CD to be released under Vineyard Records UK’s new general manager Jimmy Cooke. Recorded with Emmy Award winning Producer Bobby Hartry at Cat Beach Music in LA, pulling together some of the best musicians you can find (Aaron Sterling, Jonathan Ahrens, Kristopher Pooley, Andy Toy) including Jessie & Darren Clarke (Samuel’s sister and brother in law, and writers of ‘I Love Your Presence’, ‘Your Love Reaches Me’ and ‘Your Love Endures’).

‘The Fire’ is the product of years of hard work. Coming from years of experience in the Vineyard Church. His songs are full of passion, intimacy and honesty. The album communicates a real heartfelt journey of faith in the presence of God. And not only does it bring new songs to the church, but it calls out to the listener to engage with God; to ‘meet their maker’. There is nothing more amazing, more life changing than being drawn into the presence of God. And ‘The Fire’ does just this.

WE WANTED TO RECORD SOMETHING HONEST. THIS IS US. 4 GUYS IN A LIVING ROOM.

BEAUTIFUL

Released in 2002, Beautiful is an audio glimpse into the worship music found at the ‘Burn Church’, an alternative service that ran for 11 years in the Old Town Hall right in the heart of St.Albans City. “For the last three years we've been trying to build something called ‘burn’. And every now and then, amidst the passion and the pain, Jesus has shown up... breath-taking... beautiful.”
